Shanea, better known by her pen name, NEA, was born and raised in Indiana. She is divorced with no children, though she has a host of Godbabies. She is the publisher of Truly Outspoken Publications. Her first publishing company, On Top Publications, was birthed in 2007--the year her debut novel was released. Deception at its Best was an urban fiction tale. She has gone on to write several nonfiction testimonials, contemporary romance, and paranormal books as well.

 

NEA is a mentor, spiritual teacher, and student of life. She enjoys writing, of course, but also painting, graphic design, and traveling. She is currently living out her dreams and aspirations as a full-time author. Her beginning started with a degree in accounting, then ten years with the state department of revenue, followed by ten more years with the federal government. It wasn't until 2021 that she became solely invested in her writing, molding it from a hobby into a career.
